America Won, Trust me We Get It
Opinion writing has always been a favorite of mine. Exploring ways to capture my voice in a piece that positively reflects different things like theme and mood can be challenging without the help of things like interviews and outside sources. I believe that opinion writing, especially on a piece so relevant and political in our current day climate, should be thoroughly researched. Through numerous government sites and legislation documents, I became an expert on the topic at hand, and was able to clearly make an opinion about Freedom Week and it's relevancy in schools.

This was my first experience with writing an editorial for our publication.Choosing the topic of the department of Education's closure, I had prove the editorial board's decision by finding ways that the change would effect students in our community on a personal level, connecting judicial legislature with our own student body.

The Exploitation of Empathy: EDITORIAL
After learning about Charlie Kirk's death during an after school meeting for our newsmagazine, our editorial board immediately realized the divide that would soon follow after his death. Our agenda was immediately halted as our staff pulled their phones out to look at social media and different news sources. Seeing an overall trend in our political environment, the editorial board knew this was something we had to take a stance on and explore, especially in the context of our generation.
